With the number of home improvement shows that I have been watching, I thought that I could be an expert painter.  Our home needed a coat of paint, and with the shows I had seen and one painting website I visited, I was sure I could paint the house.

So, I went down to the local hardware store to pick up some paint.  I just explained that I wanted to do some exterior painting and they gave me the right brushes and paint.  I loaded the stuff into my car and drove home to create my masterpiece.

After a few hours, it was clear that I wasn’t a certified Arizona house painter - the job I did looked terrible!  I don’t have any idea what I did wrong, but the house definitely looks worse than when I started.  I think I will have to get a professional here to fix it - if my wife sees it the way it is right now, I will be in big trouble….
