While on the way to work this morning, I made a slight detour.  The detour wasn’t on a whim, but I decided to stop in at the travel agency on the way to work.  My reason for stopping is that my wife said something last night that struck a chord within me.

She said, "Why don’t we go on a trip that would be like the adventures that you see on television?"

I had to jump at the opportunity, because up to this point, all she has ever wanted to do is stay in hotels, and get a sun tan at the pool.  She has never wanted to try anything fun, that didn’t involve a warm shower and restaurant cooked meals.

So, I picked up some worldwide travel guides that I am going to take home tonight after work.  If she is still in the mood for an adventure, perhaps these guides may give her some inspiration as to where she wants to go – it will be nice to have some excitement on our summer holidays for a change.
