One of the things that I pride myself on is my self control when it comes to shopping.  I make sure to consider everything, and if I still want the item, I sleep on it to make sure my decision is a sound one.  I also try to take advantage of coupons whenever possible to save myself some extra money.

But, from time to time, I get a little bit too excited and just buy something on a whim.  Sure, it usually isn’t something very expensive, but nonetheless I usually end up regretting it.

This happened to me recently when I went out to buy an outfit and shoes.  I was feeling particularly embarrassed about my outfit one day, and I went into a clothing store and bought a new outfit complete with shoes.

When I went home and checked my coupon toolbar on my computer, I was mad at myself.  There was a shoes coupon I could have used to save myself money.

I shouldn’t have paid full price.

For the past couple of years, I’ve been working on my home as a travel agent to make a little bit of extra money each month.  Now it isn’t my full-time job, but I do enjoy helping people have the getaway of their dreams without spending a whole lot of money.

Lately I’ve been having a lot of people interested in staying at the many Las Vegas hotels in that fine city.  One of the biggest challenges that they come to me with is that they want to take advantage of the many Las Vegas hotel deals that they’ve heard about online but they just don’t know where to find them.

In this instance, I take over and do the research to help them find the best rates on rooms in Las Vegas.  For example, many of my clients to take advantage of the MGM Signature hotel Las Vegas promo code that is currently available and they have cut their costs for their trip significantly.

There’s nothing quite like the feedback I receive when my clients come back from their trip.  They’re always so very happy that they can have the trip of their dreams without spending too much money.  With feedback like that, I know that I’m do my job properly.

It took a tragedy for us to learn a really hard lesson. When we bought our car, we did not think much about auto insurance. One of my biggest worries that I have had for a long time were related to the security of my cell phone.  I was traumatized by a program that I watched on the television about people that specialize in cell phone interception and use the information that they overhear to do bad things (think identity theft).

So, I have always been leery to make any important calls on my cell phone.  But I have always dreamed that there would be a future where I could make a secure call from my phone and not worry about those types of things.

That day has finally come true for me.  After reading a blog today about gsm encryption, I discovered that there was software that you could get for your cell phone that would allow you to make safer calls without fear of someone listening in.  So I bought some of the software and I feel a lot better – making a cell phone call is no longer a frightful experience.

As the proud owner of a brand new Zune, I can’t wait to buy all of the cool accessories that can go along with it. Mostly, I want a Zune dock cable for my laptop, so that I can change my music whether I am at home or on the road.

My parents got me the Zune car charger, so that I could plug it in and charge it on my way to school. It takes me almost an hour to drive to school, since I attend in the city, so the car charger is going to be a very important accessory for me.

I think that I would also like to get a second Zune travel charger, so I can charge it up while I am at work. Then maybe I will be all set. Actually, I probably will want more things for it. That is, if I don’t spend all of my money downloading music on it.

For the longest time, I have not really liked my job.  Sure, the pay is adequate and I don’t mind the bonuses, but I would like to do something that is a little more of a challenge.  I also don’t care for the fact that I am at the top of the pay scale, so I will never really make much more than what I do now.

So, I have been deciding on what type of business I should start.  I am a plumber by trade, so I thought something along those lines would be perfect.  After much mulling around, I decided that I was going to bring electric showers to our town.

It is a little strange that we don’t have any companies in town that specialize in selling showers, so I thought that it could be an easy market to enter.  I do have a lot of experience installing shower cubicles from a job I had about ten years ago, so it should be easy work.

We are going to open our doors to the public in a few short days, and it will be interesting to see what kind of response we get from the community.  Irrespective of what happens, it will be nice to be the boss for a change.

Becoming a LASIK surgeon was not a tough decision for me at all.
