The Rottweiler is a German breed that is best described as a working breed that was at first used as a guard dog and also a cattle driver, and its use goes back to ancient times. There are other names given to this affectionate breed including being called Rotty and Rott. The Rottweiler is large in size and very strong and because of its independent nature and domineering personality, it sometimes becomes unmanageable and thus contributes to a number of Rottweiler problem behaviors.

However, a lot of Rottweiler problem behavior has more to do with poor training and less to do with actual faults in its personality, though due to the training requirements may not be the right pet for every family especially the first time dog owner.

There is no doubt the fact that Rottweilers are good companions and given their affectionate nature and immense loyalty, will generally not show any serious Rottweiler problem behavior, though being a little too aggressive, bullying and destroying things are common such problems. Rottweiler problem behavior is something that will concern their owners, especially when there are children, aged folks as well as those who are timid in the home. However, even despite their tendency to be bullies and to domineer others, under normal circumstances the Rottweiler will tolerate all kinds of people as well as other animals too.

Usually Rottweiler problem behavior is seen in its being prone to bump and herd other people, which seem to be an ingrained trait in this working breed. Other than that, and also its bullying nature, there is not much to worry about regarding your Rottweiler’s behavior that cannot easily be resolved through Rottweiler training.

A Rottweiler may easily knock you down and inadvertently cause you injuries while displaying one particular Rottweiler problem behavior where it bumps and tries to herd you around. Other than that, there are no major worries regarding their behavior, though they can destroy your expensive possessions, as the Rottweiler loves to chew on everything and anything. You should thus ensure that you give your pet some Rottweiler training and remember also to deal with him in a firm manner if you want to ensure that he remains well behaved and under your control.

Rottweilers are great companions that will loyally serve you and protect you and they can impress anyone with their calm and confident nature. You will not experience many Rottweiler problem behaviors, as they are loyal, protective and affectionate pets.

Your entire family can enjoy your Rottweiler as they are often dubbed gentle giants by most that know the breed. They are, in fact, very courageous and able to keep from suspecting others and thus will socialize well and yet because of their great size make great guard dogs.

Whatever effort you put into their training and care will be amply paid back through the love and devotion that your Rottweiler will show you.
