5 Things You Must Do to Burn Fat and Build Muscle

You are hypnotized with hundreds of ads on TV regularly with products like machines and supplements claiming to burn fat and build muscle in a matter of just minutes a day. Some of these products do work. If you are intelligent enough, you should know these stuff don’t work. Some are just plain junk and you will know it right away you look at it, but there are times you might end up purchasing the product just to find out it’s a pile of crap.

The “SOME” that work only work to the extent of giving you quick results for a short period of time. Did you know that your body can adapt to any routine within 4 to 5 weeks? Why wait that long and get disappointed?

It is simple logic that muscle burns fat. Have you seen muscular people getting fat easily? If you build more muscle, your body will use the fat as energy and everything else to help sustain the muscle and increase muscle growth. So why focus on cardio and aerobics when you can focus on building muscle that will automatically help burn the fat?

1. Pick total body compound movements like Deadlifts, Squats, Weighted Pushups, Chinups and Pullups for hard core muscle building and fat burning. No isolated movements would give you the same results at such a speed.

2. Be progressive in every workout. Put more effort than you did in your previous exercise. You need to improve on your reps, increase weight or do more exercises in less time. This increases the intensity and stops your body from getting adapted and instead keeps growing muscle anticipating another shocker.

3. Stick to fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grain carbs and lean protein if you really want to burn fat and build muscle at the same time. If you keep eating junk just so you can put on weight, you will end up gaining fat while building muscle. That is an ugly picture.

4. Don’t overtrain yourself. Get atleast 8 hours of sleep everyday. The growth hormone levels are high when you are asleep helping your body to recover faster and build more muscle. The more tired and stressed out you remain, the less growth your body will face.

5. Stick to bodyweight exercises and free weights. They are 1000 times better than machines. As long as you aren’t doing ab exercises like the Kneeling Cable Crunch, you should always stick with bodyweight exercises and free weights to get optimal results.

If you follow these 5 simple steps, you will be away ahead of the rest of the crowd who work their butts off in the gym trying to get in better shape. You will turn heads in a few weeks if you follow the steps recommended to burn fat and build muscle accordingly.
