Vatican This is a busy area by day, but at night the middle class neighborhoods around the Vatican are quite peaceful. If you mostly want to see the Vatican, this is a convenient and inexpensive place to choose an apartment.

Via Veneto Opened toward the end of the 1880s, this road was meant to showcase great, high class places to stay, cafes and high end shops. It’s one of the most elegant parts of Rome, is close to all major sights and attractions, and makes a great choice for people looking for a luxury apartment.

Aventino A peaceful suburb lined with trees, Aventino offers many older buildings and beautiful villas. It’s inexpensive, near Trastavere and Testaccio, and makes a great spot if you want a peaceful stay.

Borghese Gardens This is an inexpensive area for apartment rental, but you shouldn’t be worried about the location or quality. Use the area’s close connections to public transport to reach all the important sights.

Termini An exciting area that offers many newly renovated structures (including elevators, which are rare in Rome), Termini gives you plenty to see and do. It’s also close to public transport.

While these aren’t all the places for a great apartment rental in Rome, they’re some of your best options. Whether you’re looking for a bustling area that has plenty of attractions or a quieter neighborhood for a peaceful vacation, you’ll have no trouble finding what you’re after.
