Are you dying to see your favorite team play live? Is your favorite rock band coming to your town and you want tickets? Did your team make the playoffs? Did your team make it all the way to the championship game, and you just have to be there to cheer for them? You need tickets? One of the best places to get tickets is ebay. You purchase many other items at ebay. You can even get tickets there too.

Ebay is especially easy to search for when it comes to buying tickets. There is a special search box on ebay, just for tickets. You can enter in the city, the type of event, the month, or even the specific day or venue. You can search as broadly or as specifically as you choose to.

If you want to see an event that is sold out, or only has the worst seats remaining for sale and you want good seats, you can get them on ebay or through a ticket broker. The ticket broker will certainly charge you as much as they can. Obviously, your goal would be to spend as little as you can get away with. This is where ebay can help.

Here are several tips and tricks to allow you to get tickets on ebay for less than you would at any other ticket service. Search for auctions that end during odd hours. Ideally, you want to find an auction that ends in the middle of the night. The reason for this is that most people try to wait until the final few minutes to bid for the tickets. This serves to drive the price up. There are fewer people awake in the middle of the night, so there are likely fewer people bidding then as well. When there are fewer bidders, the winning bidder will likely pay less for the tickets than if there were a greater number of bidders. Try to find auctions that end on weekdays as well. Same reason here. Fewer people are bidding during the week than on the weekends.

In order not to over pay, set up in your mind the most money that you would be willing to pay to buy tickets to a particular event. This will take the emotional aspect out of the auction for you and keep you away from the mania that can ensue. By setting up your maximum price, you will always be satisfied. You either buy the tickets that would make you happy, or you dont only because you were not willing to pay as much as the tickets wound up costing.

A great secret is finding auctions with typos. You especially want to find auction listings with typos. Very few people will discover these auctions, so again, fewer bidders likely results in a lower purchase price for the winning bidder. Search the internet for free ebay typo tools. There are many available.

There are people selling fake tickets. You of course, want to do everything that you can to avoid these sellers.

Ebay has an excellent review system. Those people who have purchased their goods in the past rate every person or company that is selling their goods and wares on ebay. Sellers who have sold many items and have an excellent rating are very likely to be trustworthy. An excellent rating is probably a rating about 95%. But even with a 95% rating, you should read the comments that people are saying about the seller. You especially want to read the negative comments. Those negative comments. Especially if they are recent comments, will give you a good sense as to the ethics that the seller has.

Use paypal when purchasing tickets on ebay. If you get scammed, immediately contact paypal. You may be able to get your money back.

You now know how to get tickets to those events on ebay. Now you can go out and safely and confidently buy tickets to theater and sporting events without having to overpay.
